Essential Jelly Jubes

The kids and I had a blast making jube lollies the other night! Well… I did the making and the washing up and they did the fun and eating part!  This is a great recipe if you are looking to make some healthy lollies that don’t contain any nasty numbers, preservatives, flavours… just real food ingredients!


You can incorporate food safe essential oils if you have them to boost the flavour and health benefits of your jubes.  I love and use doTERRA essential oils but if you don’t have these amazing bottles of goodness, then this recipe can still be completely delicious made with other strong flavoured liquids!


Ingredients:


1/3 cup of liquid (I used herbal tea) *** use 1 cup for a softer more lolly like consistency *** 2 tbs gelatin 1 tbs honey or equivalent natural sweetner 4 drops doTERRA Lemon essential oil 4 drops doTERRA On Guard essential oil 1/2 tsp Vitamin C (optional)

Method:


Boil your chosen liquid, take off the heat and allow to cool slightly.  Add all the other ingredients, stir well to combine.  You don’t want any lumps!  Pour into your chosen jelly moulds.  Pop into the fridge for about 30 minutes to set.  Pop out and enjoy!

Only ever use essential oils in your cooking that say they are safe for internal use on the label. These oils will have the Food Standards of Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) tick of approval as a food additive.
